Update 10/31/2014: Cavs did change their court from the preseason to the regular season. In the preseason picture above you'll see Cleveland above the skyline, well that was removed. Yesterday, I was there in person and the court had a few changes. The Cavs were instructed to remove the word Cleveland above the skyline. It says Quicken Loans now above the skyline. My source who gave me the story was correct about the Cavs having to make a change. Dan was just putting out a fire before it started. Kind of like how he said he wasn't on a plane to South Beach, when Joe Lull reported it. Now the story isn't as big as LeBron coming home, but Dan Gilbert why the change in the court? | Update: Dan Gilbert shot this information down with a tweet: "@cavsdan · Oct 6 " @samdonnelly Hey,whats this rumor about court needs to be changed or @cavs fined 100k for 1st 4 games, then forfeits?" Silliness. Not true @cavs fined 100k for 1st 4 games, then forfeits?" Silliness. Not true" Got a text this morning from my source, telling me about his time at Quicken Loans arena and that he had unfortunate news as well! First off he had the opportunity to see the new scoreboard screen and it is massive! The Full screen goes from free throw line to free throw line! However, the bad news is that the Cavs have to change their new court! The NBA has warned Cleveland that it's because of the skyline and Cleveland on the floor. They just can't have that. If they continue to have that, it will be a $100k fine for each game, and after 4 games they forfeit games! Unfortunately, the Cavs have to change this awesome court design because of the NBA. However, the good news is the New Scoreboard screen is amazing! |

Isn't this something that a team would usually get cleared before the court is designed?

does anyone else not think the navy blue is awful since their unis are red & gold only? and they are using all 3 primary colors in their design? with the old sword logo in the site and media etc, makes it look entirely inconsistent

I bet we will be seeing a lot of the Blu alternate jerseys this year. LBJ is a huge fan!

Dallas has a skyline on their uniforms and other teams have done the same thing as Dallas is.... This can't be an issue.
